Reflections on a Pond: A Visual Journal Review"Reflections on a Pond" is an outstanding body of work done by plein air painter Kevin Macpherson. Over the course of some years Macpherson painted 368 views of the pond outside his Taos home with the Sangre De Cristo mountains in the background.
Like Monet, he sought to render not just multiple views of the same landscape at different times of day and year, but to capture what was going on at the time, the mood of the day. Using only the three primaries and white, he produces a stunning array of colors, temperatures and values.
