Memories of White Pond ReviewThis book is about a place very close to my heart. My grandparents, the Gorskis, have owned a place there for many years and my fondest childhood memories are of summers spent there (many of them are related in the Gorski chapter). Judy Fracher does a wonderful job of relating the many interesting stories of the people who dearly treasure this natural oasis. I can't wait to get back and catch some more brookies!Memories of White Pond OverviewHistory is often associated with dates and catastrophic or dramatic events. Not so with “Memories of White Pond." This book is a collection of anecdotal stories from real people. This collection of stories spans four generations of people whose lives were touched by White Pond. The book represents a slice of New England Americana. Reflections on world events, economic fluctuations, and family life are depicted in the chapters. Each contributing individual's memory and interpretation often colored the stories shared, adding more diversity to the publication. I hope you will enjoy reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it.
